A Day at the Taft

Learn about the history of the Taft Museum of Art! Explore the museum during drop-in public tours and delight in an afternoon of jazz music with former Duncanson Artist-in-Residence Tracy Walker.

Edie McKee Harper: Modernist at Play

Family Workshop | Mixed Media Animals

October 24 | 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Get creative as a family and transform everyday recycled materials into imaginative animal artworks! In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore mixed media techniques using repurposed materials to design and build unique animal creations inspired by the artwork of Edie Harper.

Holiday Tea

December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18 | Seatings at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Celebrate the festive season with friends and family during limited-time Holiday Teas! Sip on curated tea blends from Churchill’s Fine Teas, enjoy a special seasonal menu of small bites prepared by the Taft Café, and delight in live music in the museum's historic setting.

$50 for Taft members, $60 for non-members. Includes admission to the collection galleries, exhibitions, and holiday displays. 8% gratuity for your server is included in your ticket price, but additional gratuity is always appreciated.

Reservations required. Vegan and gluten-free options available upon request. To be sat as a group, please notate your host name in your reservation at checkout. Tickets are non-refundable upon purchase. Pending seating availability, reservations may be moved to alternate dates through November 19, 2026.

Holiday Family Festival

December 6 | 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Experience the magic of the museum during the holidays in an artful celebration with the entire family. Meet Santa, create artworks to bring home or gift, save in the Museum Shop during the 10th Annual Museum Store Sunday, explore the galleries and holiday displays, and enjoy a lively performance of seasonal songs by Jake Speed & the Freddies!

Merry Making and Music

Sensory Explorations

Select Sundays, 1-3:30 p.m.

Designed for individuals with sensory sensitivity as well as blind or low vision, Sensory Explorations allows you to use senses like touch and hearing to experience the museum's collection and exhibition gallery spaces with specially trained educators. Tools like 3D printed reproductions, fabric samples, and soundscapes offer a multi-sensory adventure at the Taft.

This is a FREE event! Registration not required.
