Fun for All Ages at the Museum

Make memories together through programs that encourage lifelong learning, self-expression, and (of course) fun. Explore the upcoming lineup of Create & Plays, Family Fundays, and Sensory Explorations, and learn more about Summer Art Camp below.

Create & Play

Third Wednesdays, 10:15–11 a.m. | Ideal for Ages 2–5 with Caregiver

Move through the galleries with your young one while learning about art through guided activities and interactive games. Then get creative in the studio and make a masterpiece to take home. 

Registration required. Includes admission to exhibitions and the museum’s collection galleries. 

Family Funday

10 a.m.–3:30 p.m. | Ideal for All Ages

Explore the museum with FREE Family Fundays throughout the 
year! These special days offer a new experience each time you visit. Music, art-making, and gallery engagements are sure to inspire young creators.

Sensory Explorations

Select Sundays, 1–3 p.m. | Ideal for All Ages

Designed for individuals with sensory sensitivity as well as blind or low vision, Sensory Explorations allows you to use senses like touch and hearing to experience the museum's collection and exhibition gallery spaces with specially trained educators.Tools like 3-D printed reproductions, fabric samples, and soundscapes offer a multi-sensory adventure at the Taft.

After exploring the galleries, create your own work of art during open studio time in the Dater Education Room and join special guests for additional sensory friendly activities.
