Bring the whole family to the Taft Museum of Art on select third Sundays to explore, create, and play. These free afternoon programs offer great art, kid-sized art info, hands-on fun, and family-friendly performances. Most activities are ongoing, so drop in when you have time and stay as long as you like.
Super Summer Funday
Sunday, June 21, 1–4 p.m.
Celebrate the first day of summer and Father’s Day at the Taft! Wump Mucket Puppets will put on a special show at 2 p.m. Explore “Dads in Art” in the Museum, check out traditional Appalachian toys at the Art Cart, and play some games for kids of all ages on the lawn. Make a puppet of your own to take home and extend the fun—or give it to Dad to say “Happy Father’s Day!”
Sunday, July 19, 1–4 p.m.
Enjoy a magical Funday at the Taft! Magic will happen all around the Museum as you explore some of the “tricks” painters use at the Art Cart, make a magic wand to take home, and take a tour of the Museum. Magician Brett Sears will have plenty of tricks up his sleeve during his live magic show at 2 p.m.
It’s a Zoo in Here!
Sunday, August 16, 1–4 p.m.
Things get wild when animals visit the Museum! Take a self-guided tour to find animals in art, experience the textures of different animals at the Art Cart, make a funny animal puppet, and get your face painted like an animal. At 2 p.m., see a live presentation of some animals from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
