Journey to Freedom

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, celebrate the journey to freedom and equality. Check out important events in America’s history at the Art Cart, make a craft to take home, and explore Robert S. Duncanson’s artistic journey. At 2:00, learn about Frederick Douglass’ journey from slave to statesman in ArtReach’s presentation of the play The Frederick Douglass Story.
Chinese Year of the Horse

Celebrate the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Horse. Visit with some real ponies, make a horse of your own to take home, explore Chinese symbols at the Art Cart, and look at images of the New Year and children in Chinese art. Dancers from the Greater Cincinnati Chinese School will perform at 1:00.
