Quilted Postcards to Make and Mail
Saturday, October 23, 2–4 p.m.
No sewing experience is necessary to make a delightful mini-work of quilted art that you can actually mail to a friend--if you can bear to give it up. Using 21st-century materials and techniques, each participant will make a 4 x 6 inch quilted postcard inspired by the quilts in the exhibition American Elegance: Chintz Applique Quilts, 1780-1850. Feel free to bring your own favorite scraps of printed fabric, lace, or ribbons to supplement our materials.
All supplies included. For ages 15 to adult.
