Dutch Utopia: American Artists in Holland, 1880–1914

This exhibition includes paintings and works on paper from collections throughout the United States and Europe for this exhibition, which has been organized by the Telfair Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia. This exhibition features art by nearly 40 artists, including Gari Melchers, William Merritt Chase, John Singer Sargent, and Robert Henri, as well as other painters, including Cincinnati-born artists John Twachtman and Elizabeth Nourse. Dutch Utopia: American Artists in Holland, 1880–1914, is organized by the Telfair Museum of Art, Savannah, Georgia, in association with the Singer Laren Museum, the Netherlands. This exhibition is made possible through the generous support of the Terra Foundation for American Art and the Henry Luce Foundation, with major additional support provided by the Telfair Academy Guild and the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
