Holidays at the Taft

From Antique Christmas to family-friendly events, there is something for everyone at the Taft this holiday season. Executive Chef Luke Radkey has prepared delicious dishes for the holidays. Reservations are recommended in the Café. Call (513) 352-5140.

Antique Christmas
November 3, 2017—January 7, 2018

Escape to a winter wonderland of Christmas past at the Taft’s annual display of antique ornaments, decorations, and toys. Learn more about the festive display here.

Kathy and Stewart “Greg” Gregory, lenders to the exhibition, will discuss their collection in upcoming gallery talks.

Securing timed tickets in advance is recommended. Walk-ins will be accommodated as available. On Sundays in December, timed tickets are required.

Holiday Season Kickoff
Sunday, November 26, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.

Enjoy free activities for the whole family! The house will be decorated inside and out with lights, garlands, and displays of antique ornaments on old-fashioned feather trees. Enjoy lunch in the Lindner Family Café and do some holiday browsing in the Shop, where you will find gifts for all ages—including the one-size-fits-all Taft membership.

11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Make an ornament and holiday card to take home.
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Bring your camera for photographs with Santa.
12–1 p.m.
Hear holiday stories in the Music Room.
1–2 p.m.
Meet birds from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Traveling Bird Encounter.
3–4 p.m.
Enjoy Christmas melodies with carolers in the galleries.

Taft Jr. Holiday Fun
Thursday, December 7, 11:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

Start your holiday fun at the Taft. Enjoy a holiday story, make an ornament, and explore the toys and decorations of the Taft’s Antique Christmas display. Taft Jr. allows preschoolers to have fun learning about and making art with their favorite adults while absorbing good museum manners.

When you give a Taft membership, you give an entire year full of art, special events, music, talks, and much more! Members receive free admission to the historic house and special exhibitions, discounts in the Shop and the Lindner Family Café, and invitations to members-only programs.
